Very thin (.001 inch), acid-free tissue; 10#, 16gsm. Can be used for most photographic materials, including black and white prints and color prints except cyanotypes, dye transfer prints, and protein-based prints like albumen. This paper is buffered with calcium carbonate which helps neutralize acids in the environment.

Also, use buffered tissue for plant based and cellulosic textiles such as cotton and linen. If fibers aren't known it is best to use an unbuffered tissue.
Buffered tissue is stiffer and more opaque than unbuffered tissue.
