Halt Photo Deterioration - Place Acid-Free Backings or Acid-free Tissuebehind or in-between your photos to prevent abrasions and to slow deterioration! Use Acid-Free Backings as a protective stiffener for your photos as well as an acid neutralizer. Made from .028" thick, white on two sides, an acid-free board that is acid-free all the way through.
Use Acid-Free Tissue to interleave between photos and prints to serve as an abrasion buffer as well as an acid neutralizer. Use unbuffered tissue for colored photos and protein-based fibers such as wool, leather, silk. It is also recommended for albumen, cyanotype, dry transfer or chromogenic prints. Buffered Tissue prevents acid from migrating past the tissue onto the print. Buffered tissue may be used for digital prints.
