100% alpha-cellulose board, buffered with 3% calcium carbonate. Acid-free, lignin-free, and contaminant-free, with an alkaline pH of 8.5-9.5. Suitable for conservation. Our material meets Library of Congress archival standards. Acid-free board helps trap migrating acids in paper and neutralize them. A buffered board helps block migrating acids from entering an object and helps prevent damage.
