Cabinet Card Collection Protection Supplies

Cabinet Cards were popular photo images from the mid-19th century through the 1920s. Photos were mounted on stiff 6-1/2 x 4-1/4" cards. They were first used for landscape images. People began using them for portraiture around 1860. The borders of the cards were usually decorative and had the name of the photographer and the shop's address. These cards were often put on stands for display in people's homes. Photo images were often retouched with color. For poly material specifications click here.
