Acid-Free Tissue

Use Acid-free Tissue as a buffer against migrating acids as well as to prevent abrasions while items are being stored. Use unbuffered tissue for photos and protein based fibers such as wool, leather, silk. Also use for natural history collections. Use buffered tissue for cellulosic fibers such as paper, cotton, linen, flax and jute. If fibers aren't known it is best to use unbuffered tissue.
