5", 7" and 10" Audio Reel Supplies

We have reel boxes, storage boxes, poly bags for the reel boxes, and miscellaneous accessories to care for your 5", 7" and 10" tapes. We have recently added tape reels for 7" magnetic tape. Our supplies are high quality and offer excellent storage options to replace original containers that may have deteriorated over time.

Magnetic tape technology was created in the 1920s, and by the 1950s, the technology had advanced to make reel-to-reel recorders affordable for the mainstream. By the 1980s, audio cassette tapes mostly replaced the format and became obsolete except for audiophiles who felt that the sound of reel-to-reel tapes was much superior. Another resurgence has recently begun due to this technology's sound quality.

Note: At our store, we understand the importance of proper storage for your magnetic tapes. That's why we recommend storing your tapes between 65 and 70°F at 45-50% relative humidity, and avoiding large fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Tapes should always be stored vertically, not horizontally, to prevent damage.
