Sheet Music Backing Boards

Our Sheet Music Backings are properly sized to fit into OUR polybags. Placing a backing behind or preferably in the center of your sheet music, then putting it inside a polybag helps prevent sheet music corners and pages from crimping or wrinkling. Acid-free board can trap migrating acids and neutralize them. Buffered board keeps acids from enter an item and therefore prevents deterioration.

We stock 3 grades of backing boards for sheet music protection:
1. Short-Term Storage - CHIPBOARD -.030" thick.
2. Long-Term Storage - STANDARD ACID-FREE .028" thick.
3. Indefinite Storage - SUPER ACID-FREE & BUFFERED .040" thick.
