For whatever reason, it was difficult for me to let go of thousands of jewel cases. BUT, after I bought 1,000 of these sleeves, once I started converting, I never really looked back. Just do 10-20 and you will start to see the freedom of ditching that horrible cracked plastic garbage. My only hurdle was A) what parts to put in each pocket, and B) in what orientation. With the sleeve pockets facing up, I put the disc in the right-side pocket (upside down/facing outward when folded). That was the easy part. Then I put the back panel inside the other pocket facing up (inward, toward the cd when folded), with the bottom spine folded up (where the sleeve bends) and the top spine flat so it is right reading above the cd when the sleeve is folded. That makes the top label right reading with the cd facing you, and the cover faces the other side. I turned the cover 90 degrees so it's right reading standing up with the spine at the top facing the CD side. I've got a thousand more to go, and while counter intuitive, it seems like having the fold of the clear sleeve at the bottom is going to work best–easiest to flip through the tops, with the cd spine at the top of the taller pocket, and the cd pocket also pointing up like a "V"—which gives a little bit of space between the next one. Hope that makes sense, and helps!!

I Wish I had known about this sleeves a while ago but I'm happy to get the sleeves now. I have made a lot of extra space in my music room. If you feel overwhelmed with your collection taking a lot of space get these sleeve!

Excellent solution to storing CDs. Roughly a 3-4x space saving over using jewel cases. If you have a large collection to transfer CDs, back matter and booklet/front matter to these sleeves, it's easy to get into rhythm and do over 100 per hour. I transferred 2900 CDs, and, while it took some time, it was VERY satisfying to see the end result.

These sleeves are such a great and efficient way to replace all of those CD jewel boxes that have been littering our house for so many years, and it feels as if I am finally regaining control of my collection. Hurray!

A cost effective option for eliminating plastic jewel cases. Room for disks and inserts without a tight squeeze. Not indestructible, but durable enough for storage.

After researching a lot of options, these polysleeves were by far the best I could find not only in terms of what they hold, what they're made from and how they're constructed but also in price. I was able to ditch hundreds of CD jewel cases and condense my music collection down considerably in size and weight. Instead of being spread across multiple shelves and weighing a ton, I have everything housed in a chest, split in rows by dividers like at a record shop with alphabetized card separators. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I have now had two packets of these and I reckon I save around 65% of space by ditching the normal plastic CD cases. I only wish they were available in the U.K. as shipping costs push up the unit price, and even worse if guy get hit by customs fees. But they certainly solve the issue of running out of storage space if you have a big CD collection.

Hello from the UK. This is a great product. Dumping the jewel cases in favor of these sleeves has freed-up so much space on my shelves. I have made several succesive orders. The service is always prompt, efficient and courteous.

These are perfect for storing CDs with everything that came in the jewel box, and storing it on a standard CD shelf. There are other well-regarded products that are designed to be stored vertically in drawers or boxes, but these are the only ones I could find (and I've tried them all) that will fit horizontally in the same depth as a standard CD case, but take up much less width. They are not as rigid as some of the larger and more expensive alternatives, so you will need to pack them on your shelves or have bookends of some sort to keep them upright and not sliding all over the place. Using Tyvek inner sleeves to hold the CDs increases stability, and also allows you to place the CD in the same pocket as the tray card and put the booklet in the other pocket, just like it would be stored in a standard jewel case. Otherwise, you are supposed to put the CD by itself in the smaller pocket as paper can eat away at the CD surface. Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyester/Mylar and Tyvek are considered safe. Paper without a safe liner and especially Vinyl/Polyvinvyl are *NOT* safe. Note that the two pockets are slightly different sizes to accommodate the larger tray card (you still will need to fold down one spine). The unfolded spine will still allow browsing on a shelf if you're looking in the right direction. A similar product (SCDGFS4 -- almost the same, if not identical, to JazzLoft/SpaceSavingSleeves) has symmetric pockets and is a little more awkward as the tray card does not fit as well even with both spines folded.
