Our SHELF FILES come in both pH neutral brown corrugated (for short-term storage) and acid-free blue-gray corrugated (for long-term storage). Use shelf files to help keep your periodicals organized until you are ready to put them into permanent storage. Both styles just fold together and can be broken down and stored flat when not in use. The ACID-FREE SHELF FILES are made from blue-gray, 1/8" thick, B flute corrugated. Not only are they acid-free, but lignin-free and buffered as well, which means that migrating acids will be neutralized before any chemical attack can occur to items stored in them. The ECONOMY SHELF FILES are made from sturdy 200# B-flute brown corrugated. They do contain acid, but are a popular choice when cost is the main concern.
